Yoga and Pilates
Yoga and Pilates have proven results in improving joint mobility, enhancing focus and reducing stress and anxiety. Individual or group classes. Classes are conducted by certified yoga and Pilates instructors. These classes are 60 minutes in duration. Participants are required to dress appropriately, i.e. “gym” attire. These classes can be offered within an onsite company setting as well.

Virtual is no match for personal—that’s why Suede Wellness Health Coaches and Healthcare Professionals meet with each individual onsite. For 30 minutes, clients receive a one on-one or small group consultation in which individuals will receive information about behaviors that can be modified to improve their health screening results and reduce risk factors. Of course, a personal meeting is not always possible; it’s then that a telephonic meeting is scheduled, and personal attention is still provided.

Ergonomic sessions to be conducted by a fully trained Physiotherapist. The sessions are done in small groups of between 10 - 15 people. Sessions can either take place in the office workspace, in a small boardroom or in the cafeteria area. Sessions are 60 minutes duration. Inclusive of a theory session, practical demonstration, simple and effective desk stretches and a question and answer session. Employees are given an information leaflet, summarizing the workshop contents, to be stuck at their workstation, highlighting good ergonomic practices and stretches. Hot packs can be given to employees at an additional cost (Hot packs are very effective in relieving musculoskeletal pain along the neck and lower back).
These workshops are to be conducted by a fully trained Physiotherapist. The workshops are done in small groups of between 10 - 15 people. (Larger numbers of up to 80 people can be accommodated at an additional cost) Sessions can either take place in the office workspace, in a small boardroom or in the cafeteria area. Sessions are 60 minutes duration. Inclusive of a theory session, practical demonstration, simple and effective back and neck stretches, techniques on how to care for you back while performing daily activities, and a question and answer session. Employees are given information leaflets, summarizing what is taught in the workshop. Hot packs can be given to employees at an additional cost (Hot packs are very effective in relieving musculoskeletal pain along the neck and lower back).
These group classes are aimed at getting desk bound employees moving. Classes are administered by a movement therapist. Sessions are 15 minutes in duration. Two or three Business Units (BU) can be covered in a day, e.g.
07.30 - 07.45 BU (A),
08.00 - 08.15 BU (B),
08.45 - 09.00 BU (C).
This should be a standard weekly offering so that employees can become accustomed to the service and are able to set aside participation time appropriately. Classes are most effective with groups of between 10 - 15 people. These are not high intensity classes, but are rather designed to help stimulate blood circulation, improve joint and muscular flexibility and marginally increase employee’s heart rate. Employees can partake in these classes in their normal work attire. Sessions are designed to reinforce the idea of movement and give employees a “boost” at the start of their day that will be maintained throughout the workday.
