Sue has over 10 years’ experience in the field of Physiotherapy, having started her career in Northern KwaZulu-Natal in 2007 at the Newcastle Provincial Hospital. Sue gained extensive experience here and following two successful years in the department, she moved to Johannesburg and began a new chapter at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
Sue proceeded to spend the next 3 years of her career within South Africa’s public sector hospitals, being exposed to across the board disciplines, from ICU, Neuro, Paeds, and Musculoskeletal.
This short stint in public sector then lead to an overseas working opportunity, where Sue spent just over 2 years in the middle east, in a specialised acute rehab facility. This gave Sue critical international experience and broadened her exposure within the scope of Physiotherapy and Holistic Health and Wellness.
Returning from he travels in 2012, Sue spent a few months in SA’s private Physiotherapy sector, locuming at several large practices in Johannesburg before starting PhysioWellness in 2013.
PhysioWellness was envisioned primarily as an outpatient Physiotherapy Practice, focusing in areas of musculoskeletal health, with special interest in Back Pain, Neck Pain and Sports Injuries.
The practice has grown from strength the strength over the years, and Sue owe’s its success to always being able to adapt and adjust to the vastly changing healthcare sector in South Africa and the individual needs of her patients.
Sue is passionate about creating effective, sustainable wellness solutions for individuals and organisations alike, with a core emphasis on body awareness, accessibility and education.
Sue attributes her current successes to a consistent, reliable, well managed structure that is sustained by a hardworking, energetic team that share in her goals.

Zelda Le Roux
Zelda Le Roux
Zelda also has been a practicing massage therapist for the last 12 years and completed her training at Complementary Health Centre, Parktown-North in 2006.
Zelda is passionate about her work and likes to incorporate relaxation massage with deep tissue work and trigger point therapy. Combining these different techniques makes for a relaxing, yet effective massage in relieving tight muscles from every day use or injuries from overuse.
Her specialities are Swedish / Holistic massage, Sports massage, Deep tissue, Trigger point therapy, Cupping, Hot stone massage as well as Lymphatic Drainage.
With over 3000 hours Zelda worked with Club 100 Mountain Bikers, 94.7 Cyclists as well as Lions rugby players between 2007 and 2011.
Her vision is to live well, live long and to promote good health and improve the health of those she serves.

Indeera Ramphal, has a Bachelors degree in Advance nursing practice, with additional qualifications in Midwifery, Paediatrics and Nursing Education. She has 39 years of Nursing experience including the following fields, General Nursing Science, Paediatrics, Neonatal Nursing, Midwifery, Nursing Management(20years), mental health care both acute and chronic. She is also a registered Private Nursing Practitioner and provided service in HIV counselling pre and post- test counselling, HIV testing, wound care management, ante and post - natal education and exercise classes. She is a dynamic individual who took every opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the Hospital and Health care management.
During her nursing management experience she was instrumental in setting up a private hospital, including the design, layout and ensuring every aspect of the Clinical and Physical aspect of the hospital met the regulations of the Department of health. She is a trained COHSASA accreditation Project Manager for a large Hospital environment, has been an Occupational Health Safety Manager for an Acid and Mining Plant. She was a Hospital Manager whose service offering specialised in Physical and Mental Rehabilitation. She thrives on acquiring new knowledge and experience in the healthcare environment and has decided to now join the Wellness field of healthcare.
Mohini Ooka
Mohini Ooka
Mohini graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 2006. Thereafter she spent 3 years at Chatlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital where she was exposed to a spectrum of orthopaedic, surgical, medical, neurological, paediatric and cardiothoracic conditions. She started her career as a junior physiotherapist and progressed to a senior level where she was given the opportunity to manage the paediatric physiotherapy unit for one year. Her experiences at CMJAH led to her developing a special interest in cardiothoracic ICU and she reinforced this interest by completing her CPT1- APDL 2 in 2009.

She spent two and a half years at Lenmed private hospital before being given an opportunity to work in the Middle East. The experience in the Bahrain Defence Force Cardiac hospital was enriching. The daily multidisciplinary ward rounds with surgeons, anaethetists and nurses significantly added to her pool of knowledge. She also contributed to continuing education discussions with nurses and mentored students from the University of Bahrain.

Mohini also worked at many private outpatient practices as a locum physiotherapist including the Back Clinic where she refined her skills with back care and chronic pain. She has developed a passion for women's health physiotherapy and is motivated to educate and help women regarding bladder issues, constipation and pelvic pain.

Mumtaz Gani Cohan
Mumtaz has a Bachelors degree in Sport Psychology and a Bachelors degree in Biokinetics (with honours). Mumtaz previously worked as a Biokineticist at Milpark Hospital and the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology.

She has presented at various international conferences and appeared through various media channels. She has been in practice for 16 years and has had her private practice for almost 14 years.

Mumtaz has a special interest in Sports injuries, Back Pain, Orthopaedics and Postural Deviances in both children and adults

Raeesa Moolla graduated with a MBBch degree from the University of Witwatersrand (WITS) and thereafter did a diploma in Primary Emergency Care.

She is passionate about general medicine and loves that she can help and heal people. General medical practice allows her to encounter diverse clinical conditions and problems on a daily basis and she enjoys this variety.

She has a passion and special interest in preventative medicine, healthy living, lifestyle as well as nutrition. Raeesa firmly believes that balance and moderation is key.

She strives to lead her life by example in an attempt to encourage and motivate others in order to live a healthy, well rounded and balanced life.

Outside of her professional life she is an avid reader, enjoys outdoor activities as well as keeping fit and active.

Boitumelo Bokhutso

Boitumelo Boikhutso, is a registered counselor, specializing in trauma, having obtained her Bachelor of Psychology (Bpsych Hons) degree at Midrand Graduate Institute.

From a tender age she has always been attuned to the people around her, their behaviors, patterns and well-being. A true part of her nature that she would say makes her highly effective at her work, which was augmented greatly by her tertiary studies.

She has found herself working in different spaces over the years such as Leeukop Prison, African Leadership Academy, Teddy Bear Clinic for abused woman and children. She has worked for the leading Employee Assistant Programme (EAP) companies as a Clinician, Group Trauma Consultant and a few years later working as an affiliate where she assists organizations by providing their clients with Trainings, workshops and clinical and strategic interventions.

Working from a Bio-psycho-social perspective she believes that allows for a broader way of tackling issues and creating insight and awareness to helping people lead better lives. Her private practice experience spans over the past 7 years, working in Centurion, Blairgowrie, Randburg and has since January 2020 joined the Suedewellness Life Resilience Institute in Park town North as part of their Holistic Approach to treatment modalities and as an Independent Practitioner.

Boitumelo co-hosts a highly successful "The Born-Free Podcast" available on iTunes and Iono.

She has appeared on TV shows such as Vusaseki, Motswako, Raising Babies, Talk SA, and currently apprears on Let’s Talk Papgeld (Moja Love- DSTV Channel 157).

She has done work with Penny Lebyane on Khaya FM 95.9's influential Fridays, talking about "adulting" from a youth and psychological perspective.

Yuri Bhaga
Yuri Bhaga is a Registered Dietitian [RD (SA)] practicing in South Africa. She qualified with a BSc in Genetics, Physiology and Psychology from the University of Pretoria (UP) and then continued her studies at the University of Cape Town (UCT) where she graduated with a BSc Medical Science Honours Degree in Dietetics. And has gone on to complete a Diploma in Sports & Exercise Nutrition.
She completed her Community Service year at a tertiary hospital in Mpumalanga where she worked primarily as a clinical dietitian. Gaining a multitude of experience from paediatric and neonatal nutrition, surgical & burns nutrition, and general medicine nutrition. She was also able to strengthen her counselling skills through the various clinics available at the hospital.
She is now a private practising dietitian where she has found a new energy and enjoyment in helping clients achieve their health goals while being able to guide them every step of the way.
During the transition to private practice transition Yuri has also done contract work for a global nutrition and fitness company in helping plan and develop meal plans on a large scale. And shortly before this she was approached by a UK tech start-up company, looking to integrate nutrition and technology, where she consults and contributes as a nutritional writer.

As a private practising dietitian Yuri is passionate about preventative care and using nutrition as part of a holistic treatment process. She believes that in understanding your individualised nutritional needs you can make informed decisions, in an effort to perform optimally in all spheres of life. As a Registered Dietitian Yuri will be able to see clients for their nutritional needs from pregnancy, infancy, and childhood through to adulthood and the elderly. By keeping up to date with latest guidelines and emerging nutrition trends she can deliver up to date nutritional advice which is suitable to the client, their lifestyle, culture, environment, and any medical conditions.

Moreover, in addition to traditional methods, she also uses non-weight focussed methods and mindful eating techniques in her practice and enjoys working with clients to improve food relationships e.g. emotional eating.

She is an advocate for good nutrition education and enjoys writing and presenting on nutritional topics and has been featured on number of media platforms including Cape Talk and IOL News.

Yuri is a believer that all foods can fit and, she enjoys being in the kitchen and styling & photographing her creations. She loves trying out new foods and is always up for a road trip or travel to new destinations to learn about and explore new spaces and traditions.

Tasneem Laher
Sports Massage Therapist
Tasneem Laher is a sports massage therapist and REPSSA registered personal trainer. She is passionate about injury rehabilitation and prevention, as well as the amnagement of acute and chronic injuries through massage and mobility work. Her specialities include deep tissue, trigger point and sports massage.

Tasneem has a keen interest in a holistic approach to treating and preventing injuries related to back and neck pain, tension headaches and sports related injuries.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in sports psychology and honours in Biokinetics at the University of Johannesburg, and later completed her sports massage therapy course through HFPA.

Emma Hutton
Drama Therapist
Hutton is an HPCSA registered Drama Therapist. She completed her undergraduate studies in drama and psychology, as well as a PGCE, at Rhodes University. She then completed a further Honours and a Masters in Drama Therapy at Wits University.
She can offer therapeutic services to children and adults both in groups and individually. She has experience working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders and trauma. She also has experience working with children who have learning challenges and special education needs.

She worked at CCDU (Wits student counselling) where she had a very diverse group of
clients and gained a great deal of experience. She has also worked with children at Sparrow remedial school and a small group of undocumented migrant children through the three to six programme.

She is very passionate about the work she does and believes strongly in the therapeutic power of creativity. She loves to see how working creatively allows the client space to express things that may difficult to express otherwise and find different ways of thinking about themselves and the world.

Michele Theron
Michele Theron is a young and energetic addition to our physiotherapy team. She has experience working with hospital in-patients and treats a wide range of conditions with a special interest in orthopaedic rehab, neurologoical rehab and cardiovascular rehab. With post graduate training in needling and taping, Michele uses a wide variety of treatment techniques to achieve long term results.

Nombuyiselo Kahla-Ntshangase
Registered Trauma Councellor
Nombuyiselo Kahla-Ntshangase is a founder and director of Sinoluvo Consulting. Early in her Career, Nombuyiselo worked for the South African National Defence Force as a military social worker where she also served in the United Nations (UN) peace keeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a Chief Social Worker and received an award for the outstanding support and performance service from the UN. In 2008, Nombuyiselo joined the University of Fort Hare as a Lecturer for social work department where she lectured and supervised 1st to 4th year level social work students. In addition to lecturing, Nombuyiselo also supervised 4th year level (Honours) research. During her career as an academic at the University of Fort Hare, Nombuyiselo developed more interest on the issues of Indigenization of counselling, and became one of the academics who developed a module on Anti-discriminatory Social Work, concentrating on indigenization of Social work in the South African Context and multicultural counselling. Further to this she developed an HIV/AIDS module for areas specialisation for 3rd and 4th year level. During her career at the university of Fort Hare she became one of Fort Hare University delegates who were speakers at HEAIDS national conference in year 2010 and presented a Paper on Factors Impacting on Adherence to Antiretroviral Treatment. Nombuyiselo has also been an academic supervisor for Unisa’s Social Work Honours practical module.

Nombuyiselo has vast experience in the EAP (Employee Assistance Program) industry and has worked for various Leading companies as an EAP Manager. She has developed and successfully implemented EAP programmes in the work place which addressed the needs of the employees and the Employer. Nombuyiselo has passion for content development, research and training.

Nombuyiselo has served as an executive member of EAPA (Employee Assistance Professionals Association) Ikhala Chapter in a portfolio of a deputy chairperson. In year 2018, Nombuyiselo became a speaker in EAPSA National Conference where she presented on a need to integrate spirituality into multicultural counselling. Nombuyiselo has also qualified as a Fatigue Management Specialist and has conducted fatigue management training and couching for various companies. She is also a qualified HIV master trainer, Gender equity master trainer and has completed a short course on comprehensive HIV/AIDS Care, Treatment and Management with University of Pretoria. She is passionate about training, management consulting and Counselling.

Dr Sonia da Silva
Dr Sonia da Silva graduated from the Univeritsy of the Witwatersrand in 2010 with her MBBCh. She also previously attained cum laude for two undergraduate degrees in psychology with a special focus in child psychology between 2001-2005. Sonia completed her internship at Charlotte Maxeke Academic Johannesburg Hospital where she fell in love with general paediatrics and all aspect of newborn care. As a result she spent her community service year in paediatrics pursuing her passion by caring for children of all ages.

Since obtaining her specialist degree in paediatrics Sonia has joined our practice. She is an attentive and empathetic paediatrician who aims to provide our patients with the highest level of care while addressing physical, behavioural and developmental health concerns. Her areas of interest include neonatology, endocrinology, pulmonology, allergy and neurodevelopment.
